CLASSES
Our syllabus classes incorporate the three main disciplines of Ballet, Tap and Modern Jazz and are available for children from the age of three to vocational level.
Regular assessments ensure that, when a child is ready, he or she will be given the opportunity to take the relevant examination and progress to the next grade. The school has a 100% success rate with a high percentage of its pupils achieving Distinction marks.
Ballet
Head up! Shoulders back! Arms out!
Legs straight! Point toes! Stretch thighs!
Don't roll! Don't sickle! Stretch! Higher! Breathe and SMILE! Ballet dancers can do it all at the same time!
This classical style of expressive movement supplies the foundation of many other forms of dance, providing training in technique, musicality, poise and strength.
Tap
"Do it big, do it right and do it with style"
Fred Astaire
Tap is one of the most enjoyable and rhythmic dance forms there is. It helps to develop individual style. It is very noisy and good fun!
Modern Jazz
"A dancer must defy many things, gravity is only one of them"
Usually performed to lively upbeat music, Modern Jazz dance is energetic and creative. It has adopted elements from social, theatrical and artistic dance forms and provides good basic training in strength, stamina and flexibility.
Stage Classes
Formal dance training can be taught in a studio but performance technique can only be perfected by experience!
In our Stage classes the basics of Ballet, Tap and Modern are used to create exciting dance routines for performance but it is also an opportunity for our dancers to experience other forms of dance genre and performing arts including Street Dance, Lyrical, Singing and Drama.
Our students have excellent performance opportunities which in the past have included invitations to dance at several West End theatres and Disneyland Paris. In addition we regularly receive requests to perform at local events including theatres in Rugby, Coventry and Leicester.
Our students participate in shows, charity events and medal tests and our low cost costume hire facility enables all our dancers to perform in fabulous costumes without having the expense of having to buy them.

As part of our Performance classes, children have the opportunity to take part in drama. Younger children can take examinations in Speech and Drama.
Each year we run a 5 day summer school at the beginning of the school summer holidays for children ages 5 - 12. The sessions normally run from 9.00am until 4.00pm and culminate in a short presentation on the Friday afternoon.
